Heilyn Servat Was Gifted a 10 Dollar Starbucks Gift Card for Her Success At Work. She Decided Her Talents Were Worth More and Decided to Start Her Own Business.

Family can change a lot of decisions we make in life. They can be both the inspiration and deciding factor when making important life choices. For Heilyn Servat, the arrival of her second daughter and dissatisfaction with work made her choose to forge her own path.

“I decided to start my business in january 2018 when I realized I was pregnant with my second daughter. I was working for an employer and one day they rewarded me with a $10 Starbucks gift card for being one of the best sellers in the company. That day I thought that I deserved more than a $10 gift card for my hard work. I was working to make another person rich instead of making myself rich. I started studying and got my license full of passion and willing to give everything in my new career,” Heilyn recounts.

Now a real estate agent in Miami, Florida, Heilyn created a business  model in which her main goal is to make real estate transactions smooth and pleasurable for her clients. For her, it is all about making sure that her cliente have the best experience possible in what is typically a very difficult business to navigate.

“I wanted to be my own boss and work in an area that would make an impact in people’s lives. For me it is so rewarding to help people buy their new homes or investment properties. Being part of one of the biggest transactions and goals in people’s life is awesome. I think what makes me unique is that I always put myself in my client’s shoes.  Always look for their best interest and I treat them like family,” Heilyn states.

However, Heilyn’s path was not always linear towards success. At first she struggled with trying to be a perfectionist and make sure that everything worked the way that she wanted it to including herself! When Heilyn struggled with English at first, she saw it as a potential issue for her success.

“When I started my career I used to think my level of English was not good enough. I am a perfectionist and I didn’t like my accent, I wanted to speak perfectly, etc.  But one day I decided to start speaking in English because all the calls that I received from leads were from English speakers and I was so determined to make this business work and become a successful real estate agent. Today 80% of the transactions that I do are with English speaking clients,” Heilyn says.

Heilyn was able to overcome her own obstacles and create massive amounts of success for herself, her business, and her family, but she is not done yet! Heilyn has many big projects for the new year which she details below:

My projects for this year are working to become a real estate broker and further investing in real estate in Florida.”
