Perseverance despite the odds is something that we should all strive to do. When things get tough and more obstacles pile up, it can be hard to put on a good face and pick yourself up to continue on. However, it is often in these moments that our greatest successes are born. In other words, we come out of that fire stronger than before.
Masi Trades is the example of someone who did just that. She knew what she was doing in life wasn’t working for her, but instead of giving up and succumbing to the pressure, she fought back and made something bigger.
“I was unhappy with my corporate jobs; I went from job to job and just wasn’t happy working under someone. I started trading, blew through a couple accounts, didn’t give up, became successful and now, I am providing other people the tools to be able to work for themselves,” Masi explains.
Like many of us, Masi was familiar with the stock market, but didn’t really know the inner workings of it. That all changed in her 20’s when she was first introduced to the more complete version of the stock market. With a hunger and passion ignited like never before, she decided to learn everything about it and how she could be a part of it.
“I started to do some research, through youtube videos, reading books and I started to find people that were making a lot of money just by day trading. They were making money, working from home and had no boss; the concept automatically intrigued me as I was not happy with my 9-5 corporate life. I started like any trader who doesn’t understand basic market etiquette and lost 20,000 in the first year of my trading career. I took a step back and re-evaluated what I wanted to gain from their experience,” Masi says.
Instead of letting the moment define her and giving up right then, Masi went back to the drawing board. She evaluated what she wanted from the experience and assessed her strategy. She was able to remake herself and has found her stride.
“I wanted to be as successful as possible and really believed there was something I could attain that success through. So I started again, learning, studying, learning, trading, and it clicked. I have been trading stocks for about 6 months and then moved towards options day trading and have been successfully trading options for about 3 years now,” Masi remarks.
In addition to her own work, Masi is also teaching people how to replicate her successful trading. Similar to how she grew into her role, she teaches people how to understand the stock market and then how to effectively apply those understandings to make them into a top trader.
“We run an educational service that provides individuals with the proper tools to learn the basics of the stock market so that they are able to move into more advanced day trading strategies. I think a lot of people really don’t know much about the stock market except that you can invest long term, but there are so many other ways that you can potentially earn income from the market and that is what we provide,” Masi details.
This is just the tip of the iceberg for Masi. She is also working on providing new services for her trading tutees as a way to help them reach financial freedom in more than one fashion.
“In options trading, there are flow providers that provide traders with insight into the market. They show you orders that have been put through by big institutions, banks and/or people with a lot of money. If utilized properly, these services can really help elevate a trader’s success in the market. I’m looking to start a very high probability flow service for my community only in the future which will help my group of traders be able to gauge market direction and sentiment better,” Masi comments.
